Staff, shifts and commission

Veterinary clinic staff management: shifts, leave and commission on one screen

VetBis brings staff management into your veterinary clinic software. Staff profiles and permissions, weekly shift schedules, leave requests and approvals, tasks and team chat sit in one place. Commission is calculated from sales and consultations by rule, then locked and approved at the end of each period.

How it works

You create a staff record once. Shifts, leave, tasks and commission all attach to the same person.

  1. 1

    Open the staff profile

Add the employee, give them a role and branch access. Where needed, add or restrict individual permissions on top of the role.

  2. 2

    Plan shifts and leave

Assign shifts by day and time. Employees enter leave requests; the manager approves or declines with a reason.

  3. 3

    Assign the daily work

Create tasks, set priorities and generate recurring work from templates. Talk to the team in the same place with built-in chat.

  4. 4

    Calculate commission by rule

Set a percentage per employee and activity type. Open a period, preview it, lock it and approve it.

What staff management covers

Each capability maps to a piece of the team's everyday work.

  • Young veterinary technician sending a leave request from a phone

    Leave requests and approval

Annual, sick, personal, maternity, paternity and unpaid leave. A request starts as pending; it is approved, declined with a reason, or cancelled by the employee. The approver and the time are recorded.

  • Female veterinarian reviewing a monthly commission summary

    Commission rules

A rule per employee, for sales or consultations, with a percentage and an effective date. A rule can be ended while earlier periods keep their calculation.

Staff profiles and roles
A staff list, profile cards, role assignment and branch access. On top of the role you can add or restrict individual permissions per user.
Shift planning
Plan by date and time range with morning, afternoon, night and full-day shift types. Shifts can be edited, annotated and removed.
Tasks and task templates
Tasks with low, medium, high and urgent priority, and pending, in progress, completed, cancelled and overdue statuses. Recurring work is generated from templates.
Checklists
Checklist templates for step-by-step routines such as opening, closing and cleaning.
Team chat
Channel-based team messaging with a member list and message feed. Internal conversation stays next to your patient records.
Equipment register
Clinic equipment is kept on record and can be set aside as a bookable resource for appointments.
Commission preview and periods
Preview the calculation when you open a period. A draft period is locked, a locked period is approved, and the approver and time are recorded.
Commission calculation report
The sales and consultation activity that drives commission is reported per employee.

What changes in the clinic

Shifts live in one source
Who works which shift on which day: everyone looks at the same plan. A change goes into the plan, so no copy of the list goes stale.
Leave decisions are on record
The request, the approval or the reason for declining, and the approver all stay in the system. Nobody has to ask later who signed off.
Commission is not worked out by hand
Rules are dated; when a period opens, the calculation comes from sales and consultation records. A locked period ends the argument because it cannot change afterwards.
Recurring work does not slip
Task templates and checklists produce closing and cleaning work with the same steps every day.
Access follows the job
Roles and branch access, plus per-user permission settings, mean each person sees only the screens their work needs.
