Breed predisposition card (beta)

Breed-specific, well-documented predispositions show on the patient card as "things to watch", with their source and catalogue version. The information is for awareness only; it is not a diagnosis and does not replace the vet's assessment. A species or breed that is not in the catalogue shows "no data", which does not mean there is no risk. The catalogue is limited to well-documented conditions of dog and cat breeds; the feature is in beta.

Beta scope

There is no promise about the number of items or data coverage; the catalogue is limited to well-documented conditions.

  • Breed-specific information notes

Based on the breed on the patient record, predispositions that may be useful for the vet to know show on the patient card as "things to watch". A breed that is not in the catalogue shows "no data".

  • Informational, not a diagnosis

The information shown is an input to assessment and carries a "not a diagnosis" note; diagnosis and treatment decisions belong to the vet.

  • Clear sources and scope

The catalogue is versioned and based on published sources; every item is shown with its source, and information without a verified source is not published.

The scope is in beta and may grow; it carries no commitment on the number of items or full coverage.
