Messaging through the portal (beta)

You can open a topic and exchange messages per patient through the pet owner portal. This is not live chat: the owner and the clinic reply in their own time. The feature is in beta; an email or SMS alert is sent only when a notification provider is connected. The conversation beside is a sample draft. You can also open a support request through the help center and use the AI pre-assessment inside the examination (when a clinic administrator switches it on).

Hello, when is Pamuk's next vaccine due?

Clinic:

Hi! There is a check-up appointment on Oct 14.

Thank you, see you then.

Messaging, support requests and AI pre-assessment

Messaging is in beta; two more things are already useful to you today.

The AI pre-assessment runs inside the examination (off by default; a clinic administrator switches it on); its limited scope is described on the AI assistant page.

Beta scope

  • A per-patient topic and message flow in the pet owner portal (not live chat)
  • A clinic inbox: read and answered states, branch- and permission-scoped access
  • Attachments of limited size
  • An email or SMS alert for new messages when a notification provider is connected
  • Linking a conversation to the patient record

The scope is in beta and may change. Without a connected notification provider no email or SMS alert is sent; messages still appear in the portal and the clinic inbox.
